Terms and Conditions

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR SWIMMING LESSONS

OF THE LONGCHAMP SWIMMING CLUB

By registering for our courses, you agree to the present general conditions. The swimmer and, if applicable, his or her legal representatives accept:

1 – Registration procedure

Registration is done by internet through our platform MYLSC. After receiving your registration request, you will be placed on our waiting list.

If places are available, you will be contacted to come and take a level test. Registration is validated and final only if the swimmer has passed a placement test and if the full payment of the applicable fee has been made. If not, the registration is pending and the swimmer will not be able to access our classes.

Membership is annual from January to December for:

    • Mini-club
    • Club
    • Club competition
    • Club espoir
    • Teens/Adults

The subscription is half-yearly from January to June and from September to December for:

    • Swimming School

2 – Terms of payment

The total fee is to be paid, at the moment you are invited to do so.

For our members registered in the courses, the total fee will have to be paid in advance at the time of the dates of re-registration proposed by e-mail.

If payment is not made by the proposed re-registration date, we will not reserve the spot and it will be released to the waiting list.

We do not accept deposits.

3 – Refund policy

In case of absence of a swimmer, it is not necessary to inform the secretariat. However, missed lessons are neither refunded nor replaced.

Any interruption in the semester or the season, for whatever reason, does not give right to any refund.

However, in case of absence justified by a medical certificate for a period of more than two months, a personal and non-transferable discount (equivalent to your period of absence) will be granted on a future registration.

No refund will be made.

4 – Responsibilities - damages

The club declines all responsibility in case of loss, theft or accident. The swimmer commits himself to subscribe and to benefit from a personal insurance covering the risk of accident (family civil liability)

The club cannot be held responsible for anything before or after training, even inside the facility.

The members are under the pedagogical responsibility of the instructor from the beginning to the end of the course, and in no case for the time before or after the activity.

The swimmer and, if applicable, his or her legal representatives accept:

  • that any responsibility of the Club or of an instructor can only be called into question by registered letter sent to the Club within a maximum of 3 months from the date of the incriminating fact,
  • that the possible damage to be supported by the Club or the monitor will be limited to the insurance indemnities which will be effectively collected by the Club or the Monitor and
  • that the French-speaking courts and tribunals of the judicial district of Brussels will have exclusive jurisdiction.

5 – Security

  • For pedagogical and safety reasons, we cannot accept children who are not registered in our classes.
  • Outside of class hours, the swimmer is no longer under the responsibility of the instructor or the club but of himself or his legal representatives (parents).
  • Parents are not allowed to be at the poolside in order to avoid disruptions in the lessons.
  • The swimmer must respect the safety measures, i.e.: no jumping, no running on the edge of the pool, no violent games, no crossing the pool. In the event of an accident due to non-compliance with safety measures, the club or the instructor will not be held responsible.
  • No untimely noise during the lessons, to let the instructors work in good conditions. Instructors reserve the right to exclude a child for failure to comply with safety rules or Longchamp pool rules.
  • All swimmers are subject to the Longchamp pool rules and regulations and agree to respect them.

7 – Instructor

The instructor is not guaranteed. A change can be made during the year.

  • Cap is mandatory
  • Goggles are forbidden for the swimming school (the course will be refused to any swimmer wearing goggles, even with a medical certificate)
  • All accessories such as buoys, armbands, boards,... are useless and forbidden for the swimming school
  • Jewelry/watches or other objects must be removed before the class to avoid injury or breakage

9 – Locker room

For children accompanied by an adult, the male/female changing room depends on the adult accompanying the child.

For children alone, the male/female changing room depends on the child himself.
